River by Saba Italia is a seating system with soft shapes that recreate a sinuous pattern similar to the course of a river. A system with curvilinear and naturally “moving” volumes, the dialogue between concave and convex lines creates compositions with a strong impact. A modular sofa “to be built”, in extreme freedom, both its style and ergonomics lend itself to residential as well as public contexts.
Designed by the designer Sergio Bicego, River comes in high-quality materials, such as polyurethanes with different densities of remarkable elasticity and lift. While the backrest acquires softness through the presence of maxi quilted down cushions. In addition, a contrasting decoration along all the seams further emphasizes its shape and character, for a look which is elegant and casual at the same time. With completely removable coverings, River is available in brand new fabrics designed specifically for its silhouette.
FRAME
The frame of the River sofa is in wood, padded with differentiated-density polyurethane foam. The whole is covered with velvet combined with polyester fibre. The suspension of the seat is assured by elastic belts with a polypropylene core.
FEET
The feet are in ABS and have a diameter of 60 mm for a height of 30 mm.
CUSHION PADDING
The soft quilted pillow is padded with washed and sterilized goose down, covered with 100% white cotton fabric. While the other version is also padded with a feather core and polyester fibre, covered in 100% white cotton fabric.
