Designed by the designer Sergio Bicego for Saba Italia, the Taos collection consists of modular sofas with an innovative and linear design. The single seat-poufs, independent of the structure, make it possible to transform the sofa into a chaise longue or a sommier bed. In fact, the poufs slide on wheels and increase the seat depth by the centimetre. So no mechanism, but only a simple and clear gesture to guarantee functionality.
FRAME
The structure of the Taos sofa is made of wood and steel, padded with polyurethane foam pre-coated with velfodera combined with resin covered fabric.
FEET
The feet of the bases are made of wood with non-slip caps plus wheels, while the feet of the backrest are in chromed steel.
PADDING
The back cushions are padded with feather and 100% polyester fibre, divided into compartments and supported by chrome steel frames. Taos offers two types of seats: a feather version and a foam version. In the first one, the seat is padded with goose down divided into compartments and covered with 100% white cotton fabric with polyurethane foam core. In the second one the seat cushions are padded with polyurethane foam, then covered with tecnoform and combined with cotton fabric. The upholstery of the sofa, available in fabric as well as in leather, is completely removable.
EXTENDABLE SEATS THANKS TO THE WHEELS
Taos is an extremely customizable sofa. It is available in compositions with 2 or 3 modules, with a width of 65, 80 or 100 cm, also with peninsula. While the armrests can be 20 or 27 cm wide. But its practicality lies in the wheels of the individual seats, which allow them to slide forward, thus increasing the depth of the sofa. An incredibly comfortable function that allows the transformation of the seat with a single gesture.
